REDEFINING FITNESS.

I have lived in Wyoming for the last 24 years where I met and married my High School sweetheart and together we are raising our 5 children. My fitness journey began earlier in my life through competitions like Spartans, Tough Mudders, and lots of distance running races. Fitness and health have always been a priority in my life. I started teaching a boot camp class in 2012 and I loved it! In December of 2015 there was a new gym that opened up in our small town of Buffalo, Wy called CrossFit that brought some curiosity to me. I thought I would give it a try. I distinctly remember how I felt after my first CrossFit workout. I was in good shape, so I thought, and I had just got my butt handed to me in a way I had never experienced before. I was hooked from that day, and shortly thereafter I knew I wanted to be more than a participant, I wanted to teach others this methodology they called CrossFit. In 2016 I received my CF L1 and began my journey as a CrossFit coach. I moved to Casper in August 2019 and joined the Lifetime team shortly thereafter. I wanted to hone in on my coaching skills further so I extended my education and obtained my CF L2 in December of 2019.
My passion is coaching CrossFit. I relish in coaching because I enjoy the process of educating others on proper, healthy movement patterns that will not only make them better athletes, but will transfer into their daily tasks in a functional way and that will promote a higher quality of life. And why not be part of an amazing community of people that mirror those same goals, and push you to be better and go harder than you ever would on your own while you do it? My appetite to be a better coach for my athletes will never be satiated. If I am not growing and developing as a coach, how can I expect them to grow and develop as athletes. My future goals are to receive my gymnastics certification, Olympic weight lifting certification, CF kids, and finish up my bachelors in Kinesiology.

I have lived in Wyoming all my life. After my husband and I attended the University of Wyoming, his career brought us to Casper in 2001. I began working at LifeTime in 2004 and I have been a part of the LifeTime/CrossFit307 team ever since. I started CrossFit in October 2011. I had never heard of it until that point, but it didn’t take long for me to get hooked. I loved the instant camaraderie and team atmosphere that it provided. In February of 2013 I started coaching CrossFit Kids and found my true passion. I’ve been able to coach ages 5 all the way to adulthood and it is so rewarding watching people discover their potential and realize they can do hard things.

When someone asked me to participate in the 2016 307 Throwdown, I said sure. I mean, how hard could it be? Turns out really hard. It was two days and several WODs of humility, but I was hooked. And as much as I loved the pain that weekend, I loved the people even more. Many competitions, Throwdowns, PRs, lifelong friendships and slices of humble pie later, the process has become more important than results, which is a tenant I try to share with athletes I coach. Additionally, my Saturday morning Women's Class has become my passion, since there's nothing more inspiring than watching strong women lift each other up under the weight of a heavy barbell.

I used to run marathons. When my brother started doing CrossFit he told me he got a killer workout in 8 minutes...as I was running for 3 hours a day, I labeled him a liar. I tried one class in 2015 and that was it, hooked. When 307 needed a Kids Coach, as a Preschool Teacher, it was two of my favorite things colliding: fitness and kids. Watching the pure joy come from kids learning and doing functional fitness is incredibly rewarding.

I was born and raised here in Casper, Wyoming. In high school I started weight lifting as well as ran Cross-country and Track. I’ve always loved to run. After high school I continued to participate in local races and marathons. I got into CrossFit in 2016 after I injured my calf and wasn’t able to run. Crossfit refueled my competitive side and I instantly made friends. I have always had the passion to help others with their fitness goals so in 2019 I decided to go for my L1 and started coaching that July. I love helping people hit their goals and push them past their limits.

Crossfit taught me to be a healthier person and understand that beauty isn’t about being “skinny” and the weight on the scale. My metabolism has increased and I can eat like a normal healthy person. Crossfit has made me a stronger person, both mentally and physically; and I truly believe that strength is key to good health.
Even with 3 broken metatarsals in both my feet and a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus in my left knee (injuries all sustained outside of Crossfit); I was able to scale and modify a lot of Crossfit and still get in great workouts during my recovery. I believe my recovery after knee surgery went so well due to my previous Crossfit experience. I love the varied and ever-changing workouts; I never dread coming to the gym. However, I may strongly dislike a certain WOD, but the feeling I get after completing a disgusting WOD is priceless! The high intensity combined with strength and technique training are very conducive to a lifetime of PR’s and success; even at the old age of 48! I decided to study and prepare for a Crossfit Level One Certification and completed that on 07/01/2018. My purpose and goal with this certification was to expand my knowledge of Crossfit in both methodology and training techniques. I enjoy coaching as a way to bring my belief and passion for Crossfit to others, all the while helping each athlete grow within this sport of fitness.

I was born and raised in Casper, Wyoming. I grew up playing a lot of sports and through highschool played basketball, baseball, and ran cross-country. I've continued running and racing, eventually training for & finishing my first full marathon in the summer of 2019. I started working at the front desk of Lifetime Health and Fitness in Feb. 2018 and later that year began CrossFit with a last-minute partner competition.. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. A year and a half later, after reflecting on where I wanted to take my fitness journey, I took the opportunity to become a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and begin coaching and really dedicating time to the sport! Since then my life has taken a deep dive into the methodology and programming Crossfit offers. I've spent countless hours watching documentaries, researching, and brainstorming up WODs to do with friends. CrossFit also gave me the foundation to compete in my first triathlon over the summer of 2020, a goal I had long been wanting to cross off the list. It has always been important for me to try and make a positive impact on those around me. Being able to see first hand the hard work and dedication of our CF 307 members has given me an immense sense of fulfillment and community. I couldn't be more excited to continue learning and growing both as a coach and athlete here in a place that feels like home.

My wife started me in CrossFit. I was one of the guys that did curls and looked in to watch the crazy crossfitters. She made me do one Wod and I hated it because it was so hard. My competitive side wanted to get better at it. I’m still working on that part. I like to coach so I can help people get better at life, one fun conversation at a time.
